The weather looked good for the area, i was following @cumbria weather on twitter.
As the train approached oxenholme the cloud was really low and it had started to drizzle ???.
I think thats the last time i use @cumbria weather.
So i swapped trains at Oxenholme for the 07:19 into Windermere.
I didnt have long to wait for the 555 keswick bus, getting off at Grasmere.
The bus driver was sulking because i had no change (£6.25 return).
I got off at Easedale road at 09:00 and headed for Easedale tarn, then onto Pavy ark and Langdale pikes (if the weather was good).
The paths were now just like small rivers it was coming down that hard as i came past easedale tarn heading up towards eagle crag.
Not a bad day out, covered approx 6 miles, i headed back to grasmere and got changed out of my wet gear in that little public toilet at the end of easedale road and waited for the bus back to windermere.
Cant wait to get back up here for the summer to run on some dry trails… outstanding place to visit.
